Having passed on the piurchase of carpets and gold I strolled outside. Sharjah has the heat and the humidity so walking is a daft idea really. The kitten flaked out under the bin was in need of a good home. The cats here are skinny and a must be a tough life for them. The aforementioned Marion takes them in and fattens them up with a bit of tlc!
The fish market was very busy - a great variety of sea creatures were on sale, including shark - not sure how flavoursome it is. The fish traps are fascinating devices and the way that they are attached to the bow of the dhow is ingenious.
